My Unbiased Quick Review of www.pokerstars.com

Because they are the largest poker site at the moment, there are plenty of soft games to find.  The bonus was released very quick unlike www.fulltiltpoker.com.  The software looks great and you can add different themes, languages, and layouts if you want.  They are Mac compatible which was great for me and they have some really big guaranteed tournaments to play.

Review of www.pokerstars.com Sit and Go’s

There is no waiting in line per say, but I’ve never been a big fan of 9 player Sit and Go’s.  I honestly don’t know why they have only 9 players instead of 10 but I’m sure it has something to do with increasing the rake revenue they make.  Other than that, the blind structure is good and increases moderately fast unless you play a turbo of course.

Special goodies at www.pokerstars.com

The VIP club is something I love at pokerstars.  Some sites will give you money back for playing at their poker room (you can still do this at pokerstars but I don’t recommend it) but pokerstars rewards their players with really good VIP rewards.  The points are accumulated quickly so it’s not something that takes a lot of play to start buying free stuff in the VIP store.  The reason I don’t like to turn the points back into “bonus dollars” is that you have to play more poker to release that bonus dollars.  I’d rather just trade in the points for some cool electronics.  :)

Miscellaneous

The tables seemed to play very slow.  I preferred to play on the “fast” tables to get more action.  This gives you less time to respond to a bet but makes the games go by much faster at pokerstars.
